Multicultural Family Resource Society was built by and for immigrant and refugee families who dared to dream of an inclusive, equitable and intercultural Edmonton.
We Embrace that dream.
We work as a collaborative, intercultural community to address the poverty and exclusion many newcomers face. As a community we lead in parent and youth programming that nurtures a culture of belonging and well being.
Grocery Run, a partnership between MCHB and the University of Alberta that launched around a year ago, takes food that would otherwise go to waste or into day-old bins and puts it in the hands of hungry newcomers.
Join our Pay It Forward Campaign! "...our programs provide hope for families as they come together to share their hopes and dreams for their family. But we know that many newcomer families struggle during the settlement process..."
In 2016, we were reminded of the vital role and responsibility we have, as an immigrant-serving agency, at a time of polarized immigration politics, social exclusion, and the Syrian humanitarian crisis.
